Wie ich 1978 die digitale Briemarke erfand und wie sich die Post jetzt damit brüstet.

Aber gehen wir einmal zurück in der Zeit, als es einem Knaben von zarten 17 Jahren einmal mehr unendlich langweilig war. Es gab noch kein Handy, kein Facebook, kein Twitter. Aber man konnte damals schon etwas posten - am besten direkt an den Postminister, so etwas gab es damals noch (oder muss man besser sagen schon?).
Also beschloss besagter Knabe am 28. Oktober 1978 sich an eine so genannte Schreibmaschine zu setzen und einen Brief an an Kurt Gscheidle, den Minister für das "Post- und Fernmeldewesen" in "5300 Bonn 1" zu verfassen. Und das war kein Hashtag sondern eine Postleitzahl.
In diesem Schreiben war, unter anderem der höfliche Vorschlag Briefmarken in Zukunft mit einem Adressfeld zu versehen, auf dem man die Postleitzahl ankreuzen kann um automatisches computergesteuertes Sortieren und Verfolgen der Postsendungen, so der Terminus technikus, zu erlauben.
Unter dem Aktenzeichen 121-5 2461-1B hatte sich am 13.11.1978 ein Herr Rebouillon aus dem Ministerium wiederum höflich für meine Anregung bedankt und den Vorgang sogleich an das "Posttechnische Zentralamt" in 6100 Darmstadt 1 weiter geleitet.
Schon am 18.12.78 erhielt ich unter dem Aktenzeichen A11-4 6035-8/VVg die Antwort. Es wurde mir erläutert, dass man die 80% Geschäftsbriefe schon automatisch durch Zeichenerkennung erfassen würde oder in Zukunft werde. - Zitat: "sehr erfolgversprechend .. in einem Betriebsversuch beim Postamt Wiesbaden ... deshalb kann die Verwendung der Vorgeschlagenen Adreßmarke (damals noch scharfes ß) ... nicht in Betracht gezogen werden"
Am Ende des Briefes stand dann noch der nette Satz:
" Fü ihr Interesse an den Problemen des Postdienstes danken wir Ihnen verbindlich.

Also in Kürze: Die Verkehrswege der Briefe werden schon seit 40 Jahren digital erfasst - und die ach so neue digitale Briefmarke ist ein grausam schlechter Marketinggag. Wenn es doch ernst gemeint wäre, würde ich mich über die Würdigung meines innovativen Vorschlags von 1978, gerne auch finanziell, seitens der Post DHL Group natürlich freuen!
Da ich meine Entwürfe mit Karopapier, Blei- und Buntstiften erstellt hatte, und der Farbkopierer noch nicht erfunden war, gibt es leider bei mir keine Kopien der Entwürfe mehr - die Originale gingen nach Bonn bzw. Darmstadt. Aber mit 17 ist man halt noch etwas leichtsinnig. Erhalten ist aber der mit Kohlepapier erstellte Durchschlag meines "Postings".
Und was ein Durchschlag und was Kohlepapier ist, darüber schreib ich vielleicht einmal einmal später. Und wer jetzt Spam Briefe an die u.a. aufgeführte Adresse senden möchte - es freut sich die DHL Group, aber das Postfach ist schon lange gelöscht.
